I started getting serious about baking shortly after my husband was granted a green card; to celebrate, I made green velvet "green card" cupcakes and took them to work. A few weeks later I made cupcakes for a work baby shower and everyone asked where I had bought them! I ramped up the complexity pretty quickly and found myself making Kansas City Chiefs cupcakes only a month after the baby shower, and then a Patrick Mahomes cake for Superbowl LIV (which was apparently good luck).

I have lived in the Kansas City area my whole life, except for 4.5 years in Rolla, MO for school. My husband moved from the United Kingdom and we got married in 2018, less than three weeks after he moved. We have one daughter who was born in 2020, and another kid on the way! Besides baking, I enjoy traveling and running.
